HOW DOES THE FREE NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING WORK?

Premiere and Convenience Packages: All adults on the account are eligible for a free, 15 minute bi-weekly phone (or equivalent email) consultation with one of our talented Registered Dietitians. During these calls (or emails if you prefer), we determine your resting metabolic rate and nutritional requirements, assist with meal planning, label reading, and any other nutritional questions that you may have.

Athlete Packages: Nutritional counseling is not included but can be added on as an additional service if requested.

Nutritional counseling as a part of the meal delivery service is intended to provide a very light touch of support. If you’re interested in more active support and frequent nutritional counseling, or perhaps personal training, VidaFit’s Be Well Program would be a good option.

CAN I SIGN UP IF I’M ON MEDICATIONS?

Maybe. You should seek the advice of a qualified health provider for medical assistance and to determine whether you should sign up for this service. We may ask for a copy of your medical records, including a list of medications, but this so our Registered Dietitian can suggest the ideal meal plan and possible food restrictions. We do not provide medical advice of any kind and we are not evaluating or making medical recommendations based on the information that you give us.

While our meals are gluten-free, we can not guarantee cross-contamination.  If you suffer from Celiac’s and any other food allergy please make sure to make us aware prior to any consumption.

HOW MANY CALORIES ARE IN EACH MEAL?

There are approximately 400 calories per a meal. Please remember that a healthy snacking strategy is essential for achieving your target daily calorie count as recommended by your Registered Dietitian.

HOW ARE THE VEGETABLES COOKED?

Vegetables are steamed, boiled, baked, and occasionally lightly sautéed.

WHAT ARE THE PROTEIN SOURCES?

Chicken, turkey, beef, fish, or shrimp. For vegetarian meals, examples of protein sources include quinoa, beans, lentils, seeds, nuts and tofu.

WHAT KINDS OF COMPLEX CARBOHYDRATES ARE OFFERED?

Complex carbohydrates vary by meal plan but in general brown rice, wild rice, quinoa, amaranth, millet, buckwheat, sweet potatoes, and squash are some examples of our complex carbohydrates.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I SHOULD EAT THE MEAL HOT OR COLD?

Instructions will be provided with your meals! You may also look up detailed instructions for how to prepare the meal on VidaFit.com.

HOW MANY DAYS DO THE MEALS LAST?

Properly refrigerated meals last for five to seven days, however fish, delicate salads, and some breakfast items have a reduced shelf life of around four days.

ARE THE MEALS EVER FROZEN?

No, we prepare the meals fresh. The meals are never frozen and we do not recommend freezing the meals as it diminishes the taste of the meals.

HOW ARE MY FOOD DISLIKES AND PREFERENCES CONSIDERED?

Premiere and Convenience Packages: Each week we send the primary account holder an email with a list of meals scheduled for the following week AND a few alternative meals that can be substituted for any meal on the list. This way, if you or someone in the family has an allergy or doesn’t like a particular ingredient, you can select the alternative meal(s) or double up on one or more of the already scheduled meals

Athlete Package: Each week we will upload a pre-set menu for the following week. Menus are final. If you wish to modify your meals or have multiple food preferences please consider a premiere or convenience package.

WHAT IF I HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES?

If you have a food allergy that is moderate to severe we DO NOT recommend our meal delivery service for you. If you have a very MILD food allergy, please use extreme caution when using the meal delivery service. We make every effort and use best practices to avoid cross contamination, but we cannot guarantee that there won’t be any cross contamination with your meals.

Nutrition / Health

WHAT IS THE SODIUM CONTENT IN THE MEALS?

We do not add any salt to our meals and aim to abide by the USDA guidelines of 2,300 mg of sodium per day, which encompasses the breakfast, lunch, dinner and two in-between meals/snacks. Please note that we cannot guarantee a certain mg amount of sodium per meal. Any meals that contain soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sauce, teriyaki sauce, fish sauce, blackening seasoning, etc. tend to be higher in sodium.

ARE THE MEALS APPROPRIATE FOR DIABETICS?

Yes! We built our meal plans from the ground up to accommodate diabetics and the need to have balanced insulin levels throughout the day. Our meals include complex carbohydrates (e.g., brown or wild rice, barley, buckwheat, quinoa), which have a lot of fiber, take longer to break down, and move slower through your system so that your sugar does not spike as much or as quickly.

WHAT IS THE FAT INTAKE IN THE MEALS?

We never cook with butter, lard, or use mayo. We use a lot of healthy unsaturated fats high in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids from sources such as salmon, avocado, canola oil, olive oil, seeds and nuts.

Account Changes

HOW DO I MAKE CHANGES TO MY ACCOUNT OR SUBSCRIPTION?

If you would like to change, pause, or cancel your service in any way, you can log in to the customer portal located at the top right of your screen or please notify us in writing via email at CustomerService@vidafit.com. All cancellations must be received by end of day Friday for the following week.  Refunds will be given in the form of credit. Please refer to VidaFit terms and conditions for more details.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you wish to discontinue your service, you can do so by logging onto the customer portal at the top right of your screen. All cancellations must be recieved by end of the day Friday.  Refunds will be given in the form of credit. 

Reminder: Convenience Packages are a 12 week contract and may not be cancelled unless approved by Admin.

Upon cancellation, we will collect all VidaFit supplies or materials in your possession.

Billing / Payment

HOW DOES BILLING WORK?

All packages should be paid in full at the time of ordering.

Athletes Package: Once you place an order, this order will repeat each week until canceled. To cancel or modify your orders, you must login to the customer section located on the top right of your screen.

Convenience Package: When purchasing the convenience package, you are agreeing to a 12 week contract. You will be billed for the package each week for 12 weeks.

Premiere Package: No contract required. Payment is due at time of ordering. For each order/week you must complete the online purchasing process.

WHAT ARE MY PAYMENT OPTIONS?

We accept all major credit cards (or debit cards). We take Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We do not take cash payments. If you have a specific request for a check payment, you will have to discuss and coordinate advanced payment with a billing representative or send an email to Billing@vidafit.com

HOW DO I REQUEST AN INVOICE AFTER I SIGN UP?

You can email Billing@VidaFit.com at any time to request an invoice.

WHAT FEES ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THE SERVICE?

The following fees may be charged to your account if they apply:

Delivery Fee – $9 flat rate on all deliveries.

Missing/Damaged Bag Fee – $50 per a missing/damaged bag

Missing/Damaged Ice Pack Fee – $15 per a missing/damaged ice pack fee

Nutrition Consultation Fee – $149. This fee is waived and is not charged unless the service is canceled during the first two week subscription.

Please note that if the balance of your refundable deposit is not high enough to cover the above fees, your credit card on record will be charged without your prior authorization. Please review VidaFit’s terms and conditions for details.
